I'm an experienced freelance self shooting director, producer and remote location cameraman based in the north west of england, where i run a production company called land & sky.
My portfolio includes original film and tv work for bbc, channel 5, the guardian, the national trust, the british mountaineering council, mountain rescue and bfi doc society, and I've worked on projects across europe, North America, BOrneo, Sierra Leone and south africa. I've won awards and had films premiered at bafta qualifying festivals. in 2021 I was part of the bafta crew talent scheme.
as a qualified post 16 tutor I developed and ran the kendal mountain film academy, led documentary workshops for the british council in sierra leone, and co-ran the highly regarded L3 film production course at kendal college creative arts campus.
